Chair in Private International Law (School of Law, University of Granada). Secretary of the Comparative Law Seminar of the University of Granada and Secretary of the Academic Commission of the International Network in Private and Integration Law: European and American Perspective. Associate of the Instituto Hispano Luso Americano de Derecho Internacional, Fellow of the National Center for Information Technology and Dispute Resolution at UMass, Amherst; Fellow of the European Law Institute and Member of the Spanish Association of professors of International Law and International Relations. Member of the Editorial Committee of Anuario Español de Derecho Internacional Privado and Revista la Ley Unión Europea. He has been published extensively in the field of ADR and ODR.

He also participated in the tender of the DG SANCO “Consultation Services Regarding the Development of Common Criteria for Online Dispute Resolution, European Commission”, DG SANCO/2011/B4005, that assisted the European Commission during the drafting of the ADR Directive and ODR Regulation proposals, and has participated in preparing the principles for international contract law for OHADAC and the uniform law for international company law also for OHADAC. He is involved in the reform of the Consumer ADR and ODR system in Spain assuming the leadership of different projects financed by the Government of Spain.
