Pavel Loutocký


Pavel Loutocký
 is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Law and Technology, Faculty of Law, and a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University. He is also a lecturer in the Information Security study program at Brno University of Technology.

In addition to online dispute resolution and the automation of decision-making processes, his main areas of interest include electronic identification and electronic documents, online consumer protection, regulation of online platforms, cybersecurity and cybercrime-related issues, as well as eJustice and eGovernment aspects. He is involved in several national and international research projects (Horizon, JUST, DIGITAL EUROPE) and has delivered lectures on the aforementioned topics. Pavel has authored or co-authored over 60 scientific papers, books, and articles in conference proceedings on related subjects.

Pavel teaches courses on online dispute resolution (ODR), online justice, and related aspects of automation and the use of AI, where he highlights the broad potential of these tools in various areas.

He completed a year of studies at the University of Abertay in Dundee, Scotland, and earned a PhD from the Institute of Law and Technology, Masaryk University, Faculty of Law. Since 2012, he has been a regular observer of selected working groups within the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and he is also a member of an ICANN constituency. Pavel is an external lecturer at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (Germany), Danube University Krems (Austria), and the University of Pécs (Hungary).
